Because my sister told me...
Jan. 25, 2006
that my webpage was so boring now. I haven't posted in a long time. The reason why is that I had a momentous, life-changing event occur, but I didn't post about it because I was in Florida for Christmas. Then when I got back, I felt like I couldn't do the news justice. Obviously posting on other topics was out of the question. Also, I wanted to put my comments back up to hear what people had to say. As is, you will just have to email me.
What is this great news? Kim and I are going to have a baby in August. It is probably the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me. I'm excited and scared and happy all at the same time. The future grandparents are also all overjoyed. Seriously, I don't know how to say enough. This means that in the future, this blog will feature such amusements as adorable baby pictures, long stories about being too tired, and cute anecdotes about what crazy thing my child said today. Of course, until sometime in Augest, this page will stay the same lame boring thing it it now.
I've been working feverishly trying to finish up my paper in time for Sigcomm. I have less than 2 weeks until the abstract deadline, then one week to finish up after that. Before then, I need to analyze my implementation of my network protocol, polish up the last few simulations, and try to think of a better way to present my analysis. I've been quite busy. Kim's also been working hard studying Greek, writing 40+ page papers, and generally preparing for her exams. She's also been needing to sleep more due to the baby.
I'm also teaching CS 105: Computers for Business Majors this semester. This week's topic: how to make a web page. Apparently the demand for networking TAs is lower than that for random computer skills instructors.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading properly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot of completely unique content I've either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help reduce content from being ripped off? I'd certainly appreciate it.

Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?
